We have been renting apartments from Ted at the Sahara Apartments for over four years now and are incredibly pleased with the service, the apartments and the facilities that are available for our students.
We run both a yearly transition program and a summer camp for blind and visually impaired teenagers and transition aged youth and continue to use the Sahara Apartments each year.
The owner, Ted Mehr, has been a wonderful partner to work with and is not just the owner of the apartments but he really invests his time and care into the tenants. He has a great team behind him and they have been nothing but helpful for our students.
There are onsite facilities such as a computer lab, meeting lounge (which can be booked if you are needing space for a large group), cardio and weight gym and a safe, gated community – which have been a great factor when we were looking for apartments in the beginning stages of our programs.
The apartments themselves are well kept, provide a young student with everything that they need – a kitchenette, full bathroom with shower and bath, furniture to include a bed, desks and bedside dressers and closet space as well. We fully recommend the Sahara Apartments for any student interested in living in a safe environment close to Pima Community College, downtown Tucson and the UofA!
