My name is Tyler Grigsby, and I both, worked and lived at Sahara Apartments. I moved in the beginning of August for my freshman year at U of A. The reasons I moved into Sahara Apartments was to make my commute to school much more convenient and also to live the experience of life on my own as a new college student. The way that Sahara fulfilled that was by providing me a job in the office and giving me a room to live in.
The studio apartments are very cozy, but spacious at the same time. The benefit of living at Sahara Apartments is that included in the rent is the, utilities, cable, internet, and a fully furnished apartment. Also with the fully furnished apartment comes a full bathroom and kitchen. The studio apartments sare about 2.5 times larger than the dorm rooms at UA and you also have only one person living in the room. Not only does Sahara Apartment offer great rooms to live in but there are also other amenities.
Sahara Apartments has many options for the tenants that make living here different from other apartment complexes. Sahara offers a shuttle and bike program that allowed my stay to have no need for a car. Also there were many amenities to enjoy while living here. There is a fitness room, lounge, game room, and media room that are all open 24/7. The convenience of being open 24/7 gave all the tenants the opportunity to take a study break and hang out with friends while watching TV or playing pool. During the summer the pool is always sparkling clean for people to cool off and get some exercise. Due to the spa being heated, it is a great way to warm up during those chilly nights during winter, and have a space to relax and read a book or socialize.
Overall, my experience living and working at Sahara Apartments was an outstanding one. The management is great; the landlord is very nice, respectful and understands all situations. I would recommend Sahara Apartments to anyone who is looking for a quiet place to live, possibly an alternative to the UA dorm atmosphere, and a safe secure environment.
