What are payment methods I can use to pay my invoices from Sahara?

We offer several payment methods. The options are:

For U.S. based students:

1) Our preferred method is to pay through the Intuit Payment System (IPS) a link to which is inlcuded in all of our invoices. This payment method is integrated into our accounting software so you will get immediate credit for your payment. It is totally free for your use, as we pay the cost of hanlding your payment through this system.

2) You can pay with your personall check, provided we receive the check at least 7 days prior to the due date of the invoice.

3) Pay by direct deposit into our bank account through your bank. Most banks these days offer easy and inexpensive ways to make a payment directly from your account to our account. However, this method might cost you a few dollars, while using the Intuit Payment Method is free to you and we pay the cost of using that system.

4) You can wire the funds to our account. Again this method normally does cost anywhere from $25 to $45 depending on your bank's fee schedule.

5) You may pay by credit or debit card. However, if you pay by credit or debit card, we will add a special handling fee equal to 3% of the invoice amount. You will then have to pay this fee when you move in.

For International Students not yet in the U.S.:

1) Our preferred method of payment by International students is via International wire from your bank directly into our bank. If you pay by wired funds, please make sure that your bank includes your name in the wire instructions so we know who the payment is coming from and we can credit your account for it.

You may also send us an e-mail when you wire the funds telling us the date, amount of payment and the name of your bank that is initiating the wire transfer so we can credit your account correctly.

2) You may pay by credit or debit card. However, if you pay by credit or debit card, we will add a special handling fee equal to 3% of the invoice amount. You will then have to pay this fee when you move in.

Who should I make my checks payable to?

All check to us should be made payable to TBM Equities, LLC.

In addition, Sahara Hotel is available to the family and friends of our residents who may wish to come and visit their family members who live at the Sahara Apartments, or those parents and students that may come to Tucson to attend Orientations, Family Week, Graduations, or other occasion requiring them to visit the campus of the University of Arizona.Additionally, once a year and due to shortage of hotel accommodation in Tucson during the "Tucson Gem & Mineral show" , and in cooperation with the "Metropolitan Tucson Convention and Visitors Bureau" we make our hotel rooms available to the Gem Show visitors, from mid January to Mid February.

Is parking available at the Sahara Apartments?

There are plenty of open air parking spaces available to rent at the Sahara. At only $25 a month, our open air parking spaces are behind locked gates in an area where your car is protected by our surveillance cameras.

While most of our residents live at the Sahara partly because of its close proximity to the UA campus located Less than one mile east of the Sahara, and the Downtown Campus of Pima Community College, located just 2 blocks north of the Sahara, we do provide alternatives to driving that are more economical. These include our shuttle service to and from the UA Campus every half hour, as well as our "FREE Bicycle" program, where we will give you a bicycle you can use while you live at the Sahara at no cost. You just pay a fully refundable Security Deposit of $120 ($85 for the bicycle, and $15 for the lock, and $20 for the Night Light kit), which will be refunded to you when you return the bike. We even repair and maintain the bicycles. So, if you have a flat tire or if your breaks need adjustment, you just bring to bicycle back to us and we will either repair and return it to you, or if you need your bike right away, we will exchange your bike with another one that has been serviced and you can use right away.

Of course you must also show that you have enough loans, grants, employment income, savings, or financial support from your family to be able to pay your school tuition and other related expenses.

If you cannot qualify based on your own resources and income, you may have your parents or guardian sign for you as a Guarantor. If these people wish to assist in qualifying you, then they will have to fill out an application and show that they have enough disposable income in addition to their own expenses to pay for your rent. Both in your case and in your parents’ or other guarantor’s case we request a credit report as a part of qualifying process.
