ADVANCE PAYMENT REQUIREMENT
AND CANCELATION POLICY
FOR GEM SHOW VISITORS
During the period from January 15th, to February 25th
• We do not have to receive payment from you until 30 days prior to your arrival. In other words, your reservation is guaranteed until 30 days prior to your arrival with no advance payment required. After that it is only guaranteed (while not actually cancelled until we are down to our last room) with your payment. If we get to our last available room, and you have not made payment, regardless of what date it is, we will send you an e-mail letting you know that if you wish to have your reservation guaranteed, you need to make payment and will give you 24 hours to do so before we rent our last hotel room to someone else.
• If you cancel after you have made payment, then getting a refund will depend on the timing of your cancellation.
• If cancellation occurs 60 days before your arrival, you will get an immediate, full refund, less a $25 administrative fee.
• If you cancel less than 60 days from your arrival date there will be no immediate refunds, however, if we fill up for any of days during which you had a cancelled reservation, (which in our case is extremely likely due to our small size of only 30 hotel rooms and the huge demand for hotel rooms during the Gem Show) you will get a refund for all such days less a $25 administrative fee.
• If we are full for the entire period of your original reservation, then you will get all of your payment refunded less a $25 administrative fee. The refunds for cancellations made within 30 days your originally scheduled arrival will not be processed until after February 15th and we will not be obligated to mail out checks until end of February to give us time to do the processing.
• Our policy is based on the idea that we are never going to collect rent for the same apartment for the same period from more than one person.
