Student Housing Events

Beginning Wednesday, November 14th, we will be presenting free movies in the Home Theater for Sahara residents every Wednesday and Saturday, @ 9:00 pm. On Wednesdays, we will feature World Cinema Classics, highly regarded films from many different countries. There will be some you may have seen, some you may have only heard of, and perhaps some delightful new discoveries. On Saturdays, when you need to relax and give your brain a rest, we’ll turn the Weird & Wonderful/Cult Flicks loose. These will be movies that, well, just aren’t right, but are so uniquely bizarre that you can’t help but love ‘em! CLICK HERE for more info…

…a thriller, but in a different way than most thrillers… a psychological jigsaw puzzle…  the movie advances in a tantalizing fashion, supplying information obliquely, suggesting as much as it tells, and everything leads up to a climax that is as horrifying as it is probably inevitable.” – Roger Ebert

Repo Man

1984; USA; directed by Alex Cox. Young punk Otto becomes a repo man after helping to steal a car, and stumbles into a world of weirdness as a result.

“The real thing. It’s a sneakily rude, truly zany face that treats its lunatic characters with a solemnity that perfectly matches the way in which they see themselves.” – Vincent Canby

“This is the kind of movie that baffles Hollywood, because it isn’t made from any known formula and doesn’t follow the rules.” – Roger Ebert
